In May 1968, Sonia Rykiel, a young woman with flamboyant hair and an audacious sense of independence shaped a style for liberated women. She emphasised a woman’s figure rather than trying to hide it, with her fitted designs and distinctive stripes. Since the opening of her first shop on the Left Bank of the Seine, women in Paris and the world over have wanted to be a part of her collection. This winter, the collection has been inspired by Paris and two legendary places: the “Café de Paris” and the “Place de l’Etoile”.
